Technical SEO / indexability
Indexability checker
Can search engines index this URL?
Indexability is the first technical SEO question. If a URL returns an error, redirects away, is blocked in robots.txt, carries noindex, or points its canonical elsewhere, crawlers will not treat it as the page you meant to rank.
What this checks
- HTTP status on the requested URL
- robots.txt Disallow rules for the path
- meta robots and X-Robots-Tag noindex
- Whether the URL redirects to another address
- Canonical tag vs the URL you asked about
Why it matters
Most “why isn’t this ranking?” cases start here. Content quality does not matter if Google is not allowed to index the URL. Run this before you chase titles, links, or schema.
